About Aerolase® Neo
Aerolase® Neo targets melanin, hemoglobin (red blood cells), and water in the skin to diminish acne scars, pigmentation, and signs of skin aging without affecting the surrounding tissue. The gentle laser also stimulates collagen production to provide improvements over time. It is a well-tolerated, nonsurgical treatment for revitalizing the skin that is safe for all skin tones. It provides shorter bursts of laser energy than other types of lasers to selectively target pigments and harmful bacteria in the skin.
The laser delivers 650-microsecond pulses of energy in the form of adjustable beams that change size to fit the treatment area. (2) The heat does not affect the skin around the treatment area, making it an effective solution for anyone with high concentrations of melanin.
Types of Aerolase® Treatments
Aerolase® Neo For Acne
Through its thermal effects, Aerolase® Neo stimulates collagen formation, leading to tighter and firmer skin over time. This treatment improves skin texture and elasticity by increasing your skin’s collagen and elastin fibers for a smoother, younger-looking complexion. If you struggle with sebum production, inflammation, and bacterial breakouts, the laser energy can help you achieve softer skin. Dr. Bachelor can also help you reduce the appearance of acne scars with the laser while removing the bacteria causing skin breakouts.
Skin Tightening
As you age, collagen and elastin in your skin naturally decline, leading to droopiness when gravity pulls on it. Laser treatments increase the collagen in your skin with heat, correcting mild skin laxity and reducing signs of aging, enlarged pores, and sun damage. Unlike surgical procedures requiring incisions and anesthesia downtime, laser treatments can rejuvenate your skin.
Hyperpigmentation and Melasma
For those who suffer from pigmentation issues such as sun spots or hyperpigmentation, Aerolase® Neo helps target and break up pigment clusters, allowing for a more even skin tone. Aerolase® Neo can significantly reduce the redness and visible blood vessels associated with rosacea, improving the complexion.
Psoriasis
If you have been using topical steroids for psoriasis, laser treatments are a well-tolerated therapy for restoring your skin barrier and achieving smoother and more even skin tone. Unlike topical or systemic medications that affect your entire body and require consistent use, a quick series of 15-minute treatments can help your skin recover without the side effects associated with systemic medication. During the treatment, the laser penetrates the deeper layers of your skin barrier to soothe your skin.
Spider Veins, Redness, and Rosacea
Unlike traditional lasers, the new Aerolase® Neo 650 microsecond technology can treat rosacea, redness, spider veins, and broken capillaries. These conditions can affect your appearance, daily routine, and self-esteem, but the laser treatments can help you diminish them for a natural appearance. The well-tolerated treatment takes approximately 20-25 minutes, and you can return to your daily routine immediately afterward.
Ingrown Hair Treatments
Ingrown hair–pseudofolliculitis barbae (PFB)–can cause hyperpigmentation because the trapped hair follicle irritates the skin. Dr. Bachelor can help you reduce unwanted hair growth and treat hyperpigmentation for a smoother appearance with laser treatments. The laser will not damage the surrounding tissue, making it more effective for Fitzpatrick skin types IV-VI. For individuals seeking relief from unwanted body or facial hair, Aerolase® Neo offers a more comfortable alternative to traditional laser hair removal techniques.
Aerolase® Neo for Nail Fungus
If you are struggling with nail fungus, applying the Aerolase® Neo treatment to your nail beds can reduce harmful bacteria. You can resume your daily routine immediately afterward, and we can provide specific recovery instructions to help you take care of your nails and prevent an additional infection. If you are a candidate for nail treatments with Aerolase® Neo, you must use antifungal treatments afterward, maintain good hygiene, and keep your skin clean to help the treatment area heal. We can discuss any questions you have during your consultation.

Treatment Process
On the day of your appointment, you should arrive in comfortable clothes with a clean face. Do not wear any facial products. Your aesthetic provider will use a handheld device to apply laser energy to your skin. You may feel some warmth during the treatment. Depending on the size of the treatment area, the treatment takes approximately 20-60 minutes. Dr. Bachelor can strategically target hyperpigmentation without affecting the surrounding skin.
After Your Treatment
For the best results after your treatment, you should take good care of your skin, stay hydrated, and avoid sun exposure. Although the treatment does not require extensive downtime, some patients experience temporary discoloration or bruising. Over the next few weeks, your skin will start to tighten due to the collagen production triggered by the ultrasonic energy. Wearing sunscreen and carefully following your skincare regimen can help your skin remain youthful and radiant. Dr. Bachelor can provide specific recovery instructions to help you care for your skin at home.
